Completely renovated in 2025, the cottage combines modern comfort and natural charm, for an unforgettable stay.
Its friendly atmosphere and sunny terrace will allow you to savor every moment.
With a maximum capacity of 4 people, this independent accommodation offers complete privacy. Private parking is available.
Halfway between heritage and nature, between the Aulne Abbey, the medieval town of Thuin and the Eau d'Heure Lakes, it is the ideal starting point for exploring our beautiful region.
Our accommodation
Le Gîte de Hourpes (2+2)
The cottage was fully furnished in September 2025, it has an area of 70 m2.
The accommodation includes a large open-plan living area with a kitchen, living room, and dining room. The living room features a 140cm wide sofa bed that can accommodate 2 people.
Outside, a large terrace and access to a private garden are provided. Garden furniture is also available (barbecue, deckchairs, garden table, parasol, etc.). A secure shelter for up to four bicycles is entirely dedicated to travelers. The room is equipped with electrical outlets for recharging bicycles.
Private parking inside the property can accommodate up to two vehicles.
Other remarks
The gîte is located 50 m from the Ravel cycle network linking Charleroi to Maubeuge and providing access to most major Belgian cities.
A train stop is located approximately 500 m from the accommodation.
Many hiking trails are accessible nearby.

A new neighbor has taken up residence right next to the Hourpes gîte… a stork perched on the water tower!
She was offered to stay inside, but preferred the panoramic view
