The Hourpes gîte is accommodation for 4 people in Thuin with a garden. It is located in a green setting on the banks of the Sambre, along the GR 129 hiking trail.
Nestled in the peaceful hamlet of Hourpes, our holiday home invites you to rest, serenity and rejuvenation.
Hiking and cycling enthusiasts will appreciate the trails and the Ravel network (EuroVelo 3) just a few steps away.
Completely renovated in 2025, the cottage combines modern comfort and natural charm, for an unforgettable stay.
Its friendly atmosphere and sunny terrace will allow you to savor every moment.
With a maximum capacity of 4 people, the self-contained accommodation offers you complete privacy. Private parking.
Halfway between heritage and nature, between Aulne Abbey, the medieval town of Thuin and the Eau d'Heure Lakes, it is the ideal starting point for discovering our beautiful region.
Our accommodation
Le Gîte de Hourpes (2+2)
The cottage was fully furnished in September 2025, it has an area of 70 m2.
The accommodation includes a large open-plan living area with a kitchen, living room, and dining room. The living room features a 140cm wide sofa bed that can accommodate 2 people.
Outside, a large terrace and access to a private garden are provided. Garden furniture is also available (barbecue, deckchairs, garden table, parasol, etc.). A secure shelter for up to four bicycles is entirely dedicated to travelers. The room is equipped with electrical outlets for recharging bicycles.
Private parking inside the property can accommodate up to two vehicles.
Other remarks
The gîte is located 50 m from the Ravel cycle network linking Charleroi to Maubeuge and providing access to most major Belgian cities.
A train stop is located approximately 500 m from the accommodation.
Many hiking trails are accessible nearby.

The Binche Carnival is fast approaching, just 20 minutes from the Hourpes gîte!
Classified as UNESCO intangible cultural heritage, it is a unique event in Belgium and the region.
Every year, the famous Gilles parade in traditional costumes and throw lucky oranges.
This exceptional folk tradition dates back to the 16th century and is what Binche is famous for.
The Binche Carnival takes place every year from Sunday to Shrove Tuesday. This year, the festivities will be held from February 15th to 17th, 2026.
Our gîte in Hourpes is the ideal stopover to enjoy the festivities in complete serenity.
